In 2018, served 10th season as coach for the Philadelphia Freedoms (2004-2010, 2016-2017). Named 2018 WTT Coach of the Year after leading Freedoms' to a 12-2 regular season record.

Previously coached WTT teams - Delaware Smash in 2002, New Jersey Stars 1993-95, and Atlanta Thunder 1990-92.

Coached teams that won WTT Championships in 1991, 1992, 1994, 1995, and 2006.

Served as USTA National Coach 1998-2001.

Has coached some of the top WTA players including CoCo Vandeweghe, Ana Ivanovic, Martina Navratilova, Lindsay Davenport and Lisa Raymond.

Kardon also coached ATP players Xavier Malisse and Alex Bogomolov.

Played on the ATP Tour from 1984-88.
